Pablo Álvarez Núñez

Pablo Álvarez Núñez (Pablo Alvarez) born 14 May 1980 in Oviedo is a Spanish professional footballer who currently plays as a Right Midfielder for Deportivo.

Pablo started his professional career at Sporting de Gijón making his debut in 2001, playing 97 games and scoring 19 goals for Gijón. He earned the nickname Tibu (diminutive of shark) for his goal celebrations by pretending to have a Shark's fin in his head.

Pablo also parcipitated in the resurrection of Selleción Gallega in December 2005 playing the debut game against Uruguay.

He signed for Deportivo in 2006 but a Broken foot has kep him from making his debut.
