Harry Patrick Harding, born on the June 6, 1990 in Ipswich, Australia appeared on Today Tonight programme in a number of episodes in 1999. He also featured in a number of articles in Brisbane's The Courier Mail and Ipswich's The Queensland Times newspapers.

Harry, who, along with his sister, suffered from severe allergies as a child appeared on Today Tonight in a number of segments in order to spread awareness for children with food allergies. At the time, there was little or no awareness of food allergies among children in Australia. Since Harry appeared on the program, awareness has spread and food allergies are featured on programs such as Today Tonight and A Current Affair more frequently.

Awareness about food allergies among young children has spread, and many food items are now available in Gluten Free and Non-preservative varieties. This has only come about as a result of people, like Harry, appearing on TV shows to share their experiences.

In 2006, new laws will be applied to food packaging. This will make it easier for parents to see exactly what is contained in the food their children are eating.

  • In 2006 Harry was asked to appear on Today Tonight as a follow-up story, however he declined.
