P45.net

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

P45.net [1] is an Irish website that in 2003 succeeded in getting many "fake" stories into the Irish media, fooling broadsheets and tabloids alike that unlikely stories were true. The highpoint was in late July when the Irish Independent printed four articles on a spurious story that Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister, was demanding that a Caravaggio painting owned by the National Gallery of Ireland be returned to Italy.

The site also runs a discussion forum regularly hosting some heated debates as well as jokes and current affairs discussions.
