Oz Clarke

Oz Clarke is a well-known British wine expert, television and radio personality and author of many books on wine. He first appeared on television was as a resident wine expert on the BBC2 Food and Drink programme together with Jilly Goolden.
He has more reciently been on television in Oz and James’s Big Wine Adventure with James May and can be heard on BBC Radio 4 The Wine Programme with Andrew Jefford.
Oz Clarke attended Oxford University and captained the wine-tasting team. For reasons unknown, he was known by some at Oxford by the nickname "Rupert Snookes".
Before becoming a wine expert he was a fulltime actor and singer working for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre, The Old Vic, Chichester and in the West End.
Clarke made a brief appearance in the film 1978 film Superman and was also in the 1982 film Who Dares Wins.
Clarke supports Gillingham F.C.
