OZ-08MMS Cancer

The OZ-08MMS Cancer is a mobile suit from the Gundam anime television series New Mobile Report Gundam Wing.
The OZ-08MMS Cancer was another one of the early models of mobile suits designed for OZ forces to use in specialized combat conditions. The design of OZ's Leo series was not very feasible for aquatic use, so to supplement their forces OZ rolled out the Cancer in the early years of After Colony 190. The Cancer, like most OZ mobile suits, followed the trend of naming new weapons after Zodiacal Constellations. Cancer, which means "crab" in Latin, is the fourth Zodiac symbol, and is a fitting name given the resemblance of the Cancer's design.
The Cancer, which was built strictly for marine use, is oddly unique in that it is one of the few mobile suits that has no legs incorporated into its design what so ever. For propulsion the Cancer instead used two hydrojet engines built into its "waist" area. For maneuverability the Cancer had two spinning propeller blades around each of its arms. These propeller blades were capable of rotating in either direction to maximize mobility.
Also, to maximize the unit's speed and maneuverability in an underwater environment, the Cancer was capable of undergoing a simple transformation into a variable submarine mode. This transformation was basically little more than locking the Cancer's arms in a forward position while the main body lay face-down in cruising mode.
In terms of armaments the Cancer was equipped only with the bread and butter of submarine weaponry, carrying two torpedo launchers inside the pinchers of each of its claws. The four torpedo launchers were the extent of the Cancers ranged abilities. In a pinch the Cancer could also make use of its large claw arms to grapple with an opponent, and could deliver an especially nasty blow by firing the torpedo launchers with an opponent in its grasp. The Cancer could also use it's torpedoes as missiles for long rang bombardment of out of water structures.
It was also witnessed at a few points in the series that the Cancer could be used for underwater salvage. Utilizing an energy-blade housed within one of its pincers it could cut away at the hull of a downed ship. Whether or not this device can be used in combat is unknown.
The Cancer would be used by OZ for marine combat purposes and long-range bombardment of coastal targets all throughout the war in After Colony 195, but the unit was seldom seen due to the rarity of aquatic conflict with the rebel colonists. The United Earth Sphere Alliance would also field Cancers, but would paint theirs in a drab blue and white as opposed to the red and white color scheme favored by OZ.
