Oyne
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oyne is a small village (not much bigger than a hamlet in some eyes) set in rural Aberdeenshire at the bottom of Bennachie in Scotland. The village has limited local resources but has a reasonably frequent daily bus service to Inverurie (8 miles away) and to Huntly. The area is popular with commuters to Inverurie/Huntly/Aberdeen, a journey of around 30 minutes. The village once had a railway station, and the area has a number of large private houses such as Westhall House, which was a small hotel until the 1990s.
