Oxgangs is a suburb located in the south-west of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Surrounding districts include Redford, Fairmilehead and Bonaly. The United Kingdom post code for Oxgangs begins with the prefix EH13 followed by a number then two letters e.g. "EH13 1AA".

The area consists of large housing estates aimed at low- to middle-income groups, ranging from private bungalows to Edinburgh City Council-owned high rise tower blocks. The area has a small shopping centre. Located in and around Oxgangs and adjacent areas are a police station, a medical practice, a pharmacy, a Public library, a nursery, primary and secondary schools. There are three Churches in the area, Church of Scotland, Scottish Episcopal and Roman Catholic.

On the fringes of the area towards Redford and Colinton is a large Tesco supermarket. To the south at Hillend is Midlothian Snowsports Centre (formely Hillend Ski Centre) on the Pentland Hills. This features a large dry ski slope, open for public access all year round.

Towards the north of the area were three 20 storey towerblocks: Allermuir Court, Caerketton Court, and Capelaw Court. In April 2005 Capelaw Court was raised to the gound to make way for new housing. In November 2006 Allermuir Court and Capelaw Court met with a similair fate.
