Owsla

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An Owsla is a group of physically strong or clever, well-trained rabbits who guard and defend a warren in Richard Adams' book Watership Down. The Owsla's primary purpose is to enforce rules and laws made by the warren's chief rabbit, or rah. An exception is the oppressive warren Efrafa and its Owslafa, which is portrayed as a degenerate, fascist form of the institution.

The term “Owsla” was once used as the name of a group in the multiplayer online game Furcadia who enforced the rules of that game.
