"Outta Control (Remix)" is the fourth and final single from 50 Cent's second album, The Massacre. Released in 2005, the single (which features Mobb Deep) peaked at six in the U.S. where it became 50 Cent's ninth top-ten single; it also reached number seven in the UK and number eleven in Canada. It later appeared as a bonus track on Mobb Deep's album "Blood Money" The remix features different lyrics and beat, having little to nothing in common with the album version.
[edit] Song information
The song was written by 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Mike Elizondo, Prodigy, Havoc, M.Batson, C.Pope, and S.Standard and produced by Dr. Dre and Elizondo. It was originally released as "Outta Control" on the original version of The Massacre. However, when the album was set for re-release, the song became earmarked as the album's next single and was remade as "Outta Control (Remix)". The remix not only features Mobb Deep, but utilizes a different sample. However, no advanced single was released for "Outta Control (Remix)". This led to confusion among digital consumers who downloaded the original version "Outta Control" causing it to chart concurrently with "Outta Control (Remix)". (No advanced digital single was ever released for "Outta Control (Remix)")
The shirts worn by some of the rappers in the music video have the words "GAME OVER" on them, symbolising The Game's departure from G-Unit. The line "Got 'em sippin' on that juice and gin" refers to the famous Snoop Dogg song "Gin & Juice"
