Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

A young boy gets kidnapped by two Grimlocks, and it's up to Prue, Piper and Phoebe to attempt a dangerous rescue. Meanwhile, a reporter witnesses Prue using her powers and will stop at nothing to break the story. Andy tries to stop the reporter from harassing the sisters, but manages to discover their secret in the process.

  • Grimlocks: Grimlocks are white demons with whirling red eyes. Underground demons who roam from city to city killing powerful forces of Good by seeing the unique auras that surround them, which they are able to do by stealing the sight of innocent children. The stolen eyesight will last twenty-four hours, but only if the children are alive. After the children's use has waned, the Grimlocks consume them. Their eyes only turn whirling red eyes when the demons are taking the eyesight of the child. They can make black portals appear anywhere. When the child's eyesight is taken away, their eyes turn white. Their power is in their hands. To return the eyesight of the children still alive, you must kill the demon who took their eyesight.

  • To Vanquish a Grimlock: Gather a schisandra root and boil it in water with thyme, with which to blind the Grimlocks, thus killing them.

  • The episode title is a play on words, referencing both the 1998 movie Out of Sight, and the fact that the villans in this episode, Grimlocks, steal their victim's sight.
  • Another title used by The WB to promote this episode is Blind Sided.
  • Actors Scott Plank and Alyssa Milano previously worked together on the TV series Melrose Place.
  • Prue's powers advance in this episode to the point where she can channel a greater portion of her telekinesis through her hands for a more powerful effect. She is able to levitate both the Grimlock and the boy.
  • Grimlocks are also fictional characters in both the Transformers and Dungeons and Dragons universes.
  • Andy discovers that the sisters are witches in this episode.
  • The grimlocks later appear in the season 3 episode All Halliwell's Eve.
  • This episode is also knows as "Blind Sided"
