Ourouparia is a flowering plant in the family of Madders. It is used as a natural source for dye.

In the plant kingdom, it is in the division of flowering plants (angiosperms), class Rosopsida, subclass Lamiidae, superorder Gentiananae, order Rubiales, suborder Rubiineae, family Rubiaceae (Madder), and genus Ourouparia.

Ourouparia is also the longest English word that uses the consonants P and R, and no other consonants.
