Ou Peng(欧鹏) is a character in the Water Margin.
Ou Peng was from Huangzhou, Huguang. He once served as a military officer, but offended his superior and was afraid of being punished, thus he resigned and left. He was tall, muscular and walked at a fast pace. Thus he was nicknamed 'Golden wings brushing against the clouds'(摩云金翅).
Eventually, Ou Peng became a bandit at Huangmen Mountain, along with Jiang Jing, Ma Lin and Tao Zong-wang. After the Liangshan heroes had stormed the execution ground in Jiangzhou and rescued Song Jiang and Dai Zong, they passed by Huangmen Mountain on the way back. There, Ou Peng and his friends stopped Song Jiang and wanted to join the Liangshan band.
After Huyuan Zhuo had surrendered and joined Liangshan, Ou Peng and another nine heroes followed Huyuan to Qingzhou. They tricked the governor of Qingzhou into opening the city gates and rushed inside, paving the path for the Liangshan heroes to conquer Qingzhou easily.
Ou Peng became one of the leaders of the Liangshan calvary. After Song Jiang had obtained amnesty from the emperor, Ou Peng followed the heroes on their campaigns against the Liao Tartars and southern rebels. During the Fang La campaign, Ou Peng was assigned to attack Wengzhou. He fought with Pang Wanchun and Pang feigned defeat, luring Ou Peng to follow him. Ou Peng was desperate to gain the top credit, so he chased after Pang. Pang suddenly turned around and fired an arrow at Ou, but Ou caught the arrow with his hand. Pang then repeatedly fired arrows at Ou and eventually Ou was shot down to his death.
