Ou est la Rock? (1999) |
The Second Great Awakening (album) (2003) |
Ou est la Rock? (French for "Where is the Rock?") was released by then Cincinnati-based Fireball Ministry in 1999 on independent label "Bongload Records". While the quiet acclaim the album received from the rock media did not translate into huge album sales, it did enough to mark the band as one to watch, and also helped them make enough friends to get onto tours with Danzig, Unida and Nebula.
Although it would be four years before the band released their next full-length album, it wasn't until the 2005 release of "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock" that Fireball Ministry could be said to have truly arrived, and "Ou est la Rock?" began to receive more attention. While the main conclusion drawn by many is that the melodies and vocals are almost too reminiscent of Ozzy Osbourne, most also acknowledge that "OelR?" shows the promise that the band would eventually fulfil.
