Oscar da Costa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oscar da Costa is a Spitting Image caricaturist.

Oscar da Costa is still alive and well and living in London! Orginally from Montevideo, he came to London in 1967 and contributed to several award-winning children's TV series. Eventually, he was approached by Roger Law (of Spitting Image), who had seen his cards and posters for Athena, and was looking for someone who could re-interpret many well-known images from the 80s and 90s (particularly females) who would be Spit's weekly targets for satire. He worked from them through the 80s until the Final Programme in 199?. He has now retired, although he still produces the occasional caricature, and lives with his partner of the last 40 years in London, when he is not travelling in Italy, France and South America.
