Oscar Albuquerque

Oscar Albuquerque is the president of Pro Soccer International, LLC, an ownership group which holds the rights to American Indoor Soccer League teams in Chicago and Rockford, IL. He is a former professional indoor soccer player.

Albuquerque is originally from Peru and immigrated to Canada at age 15. He participated in qualification for the 1980 Olympics and in the Pan American Games for Canada's men's national teams.

Oscar's 13 year pro career began in 1980 with Denver Avalanche. After two seasons he went on to play in the MISL for the Phoenix Pride (1982-84), the Las Vegas Americans (1984-85), and part of 1985 also with the Los Angeles Lazers, New York Express (1986-87), Chicago Sting (1987-88), and the Memphis Storm (1986-87), Chicago Power (1988-90) and, as a player and assistant coach, the Illinois Thunder (1990-92) of the American Indoor Soccer League turned National Professional Soccer League. He was also a coach in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the Chicago Storm.

Albuquerque played collegiately with Laurentian University from 1976 through 1980.
