Orune is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 130 km north of Cagliari and about 11 km north of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,902 and an area of 128.6 km2.[1]
Orune borders the following municipalities: Benetutti, Bitti, Dorgali, Lula, Nule, Nuoro.
