Ortonovo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 100 km southeast of Genoa and about 20 km east of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,546 and an area of 13.8 km2.[1]
The municipality of Ortonovo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Casano, Casano alto, Dogana, Isola, Luni, Luni antica, Nicola, and Serravalle.
Ortonovo borders the following municipalities: Carrara, Castelnuovo Magra, Fosdinovo, Sarzana.
