Orthodox Church

Several Christian Churches or church bodies are commonly referred to as "Orthodox". Most of them are identifiable as part of Eastern Christianity. The three principle Orthodox movements are:
The Eastern Orthodox Church includes the following churches

- Autonomous Churches
- The Orthodox Church of Sinai (under the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem)
- The Orthodox Church of Finland (under the Orthodox Church of Constantinople)
- The Orthodox Church of Japan (under the Orthodox Church of Russia)
- The Orthodox Church of Ukraine (Moscow Patriarchate)
- An exceptional church generally considered to be orthodox in beliefs but otherwise not in official communion with all of the above churches (except the Church of Jerusalem and the Church of Serbia).
Oriental Orthodoxy is a separate group of churches, all in communion with each other but not part of that communion of churches known as "The Orthodox Church", the two having become separated after the Fourth Oecumenical Council. Oriental Orthodoxy includes the following churches
- Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria
- Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch
- Armenian Apostolic Church
- Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church
- Indian Orthodox Church
- Eritrean Orthodox Church
The Assyrian Church of the East, which sometimes describes itself as the Assyrian Orthodox Church

- Old Believers, a movement containing a large number of Orthodox denominations, which broke from the Russian Orthodox Church in the 17th century:
- Western Orthodoxy, which is a term usually used to describe parishes that, although actually Eastern Orthodox, use rites adapted for use in Protestant or Catholic countries. It is also used by some church bodies associated with the Old Catholic Church, Continuing Anglican Movement, and Liberal Catholic Church.
