Orquesta Aragón

Orquesta Aragón is a Cuban charanga band which was formed on 30 September 1939 by double bassist Orestes Aragon Cantero. They have maintained the same instrumentation since, which involves violins, piano, flute, percussion, and vocals. The band has promoted the chachachá musical style since the 1950s. They are credited with having inspired New York mambo also of the 1950s.
