Orgonite is a solid material made out of an mixture of organic material and metals, usually a mix of polyester or epoxy resin, crystals and metal shavings like aluminium and copper, often accented by special clockwise wound metal coils, crystals like amethyst, rose quartz, aventurine and citrine, minerals, and occasionally herbs or special "charged" water. Research was , in 1993[citation needed], in the footsteps of the "research"[citation needed] done by Wilhelm Reich[citation needed].
Orgonite is claimed by its proponents to produce and gather "orgone energy". Ph.D. Charles R. Kelley described orgone energy as the "subtle, trans-dimensional energy matrix of the universe" that is also referenced to as "chi"/"ki"/"prana", etc..
Orgonite is mostly made inhome [citation needed] by people who claim to be holistic healers of the world. These people bond their powers in a "grassroot gifting movement"[citation needed] that produces and distributes large volumes of orgonite worldwide[citation needed]. In recent years numerous forums and websites about orgonite have appeared. The major breakthrough of orgonite came in the year 2001 with the invention of the "orgonite cloudbuster"/ "CloudBuster"[citation needed] by Don Croft[citation needed], which is a modification of the "cloudbuster" [citation needed] that Wilhelm Reich used in his "research".
