[edit] Robert Martyr (formerly Robertson)

The main article is off to a nice start. I saw the notable clients section and immediately thought of Robert Martyr. If you've lived in Salem for more than ten years or so, you have likely received mail from this man.

The interesting thing about him is that he is notable solely because he is a patient at OSH. Here's a recent profile and interview.

I'm thinking about writing an article about him. Thoughts? Twisted86 07:20, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

If you can establish that he's notable, I'd say go for it. Do you have something besides WP:OR to cite for the letters? Katr67 14:38, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Sure. Salem SJ has a recent article on the guy. Twisted86 04:50, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh duh. Now I see the part about the letters in the infobox in the SJ story. I tend to ignore those. Oops. Carry on. (Did you get a letter?) Katr67 06:20, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I received one letter shortly after we moved back to Salem. It must have been one of his last letters, as he stopped writing them shortly after that. More interestingly, when I worked for Kinko's downtown in the late 80s, we used to do Mr. Martyr's copying. It was all handled by mail, because back then forensic patients at OSH weren't allowed to go out into the community. I think our manager eventually refused further business from Mr. Martyr. I'll have to keep my eyes open and see if anyone still has any of his letters that he sent out. That would be an interesting thing to have on the page.... Twisted86 18:05, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
