Unclear: was Catherine McConnachie ordained as a minister or as an elder? --Doric Loon 21:36, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

As a minister (by Aberdeen Presbytery) --Matthewross 13:19, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Gaelic essential

Has a woman ever been appointed minister in a Gaelic-essential charge? Resistance to the ordination of women has often been strongest in the highlands and islands, where the Free Church tradition is also strongest, so the first female in a Gaelic charge would be a significant milestone. --Doric Loon 09:41, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
