Order of St. Thomas

The Order of St. Thomas is a Liberal Catholic religious order,First headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee by Br.Dave and 30 founding members. It became a spiritual order of the Liberal Catholic Church International on May 30, 2004. Br.Dave's work since 1986 has been street and community outreach. St. Michael's community is in Nashville,TN. The Priory of St. Mary Magdalene is in Frisco, Texas. The Priory of Sts. Simon and Jude is in Nashua, New Hampshire. Oct 2006 The Order of St.Thomas moved its headquarters to Elmhurst,IL.
The order focuses on works of charity and a vowed life centered on prayer. The vows of the OST Friars are simplicity of life, purity of heart, obedience, non-violence, and universal citizenship.
In 2005, The Order created a new branch known as the Knights of the Order of St. Thomas, with a focus on community outreach. The Friars of the Order are more contemplative.
