Order of St. John

There are several orders of chivalry called the Order of Saint John, which claim as their origins the Knights Hospitaller Christian crusading order. These are the:
- Sovereign Military Order of Malta, based in Rome
- Venerable Order of Saint John, based in London, who direct St. John Ambulance.
- Order of St. John (Protestant Continental Europe), based in Potsdam
- Russian tradition of the Knights Hospitaller, based in St. Petersburg and Paris
