Orchomenus

A king in Greek mythology, Orchomenus was the father of Elara.

Orchomenus, or Orkhómenos, was a city in Greece, situated on the Cephissus river where it emptied into Lake Copais. It was an important city in the Mycenaean period, and is presently an important archeological site.
