[edit] Planned Configuration for Fall 2007

In Spring 2003, a bond proposal was passed. Here is the plan the district is using:

  • Orchard View High School (NEW): Grades 9-12 (Open Fall 2006).
  • Orchard View High School (OLD): Grades 2-5 (to become Cardinal Elementary).
  • Orchard View Middle School: Grades 6-8.
  • Orchard View Elementary School: Community Education, Administration.
  • Jolman Elementary: Community Education.
  • Gustafson Early Childhood Center: Pre-K, kindergarten, Grade 1.

This plan involves building a new high school and remodeling and expanding the other buildings:

  • The new high school, which opened August 2006, houses grades 9-12 [1].
  • The old high school will be converted into an elementary school serving the entire district, to be called Cardinal Elementary [2].
  • The middle school will not change.
  • The old Orchard View Elementary School will house Community Education programs and administrative offices.
  • Jolman will also house Community Education.
  • Gustafson Early Childhood Center will add the first grade.

During the 2006-2007 school year, the Administration [3] and Community Education offices [4] are located at Orchard View Middle School.
