Orca (.hack)

Orca is a fictional character from .hack, a franchise that encompasses several video games, anime and manga. Orca is a male Blademaster in the franchise known as .hack. In real life, he is a boy named Yasuhiko and is 14 years old during .hack//Games.

Orca is the avatar of Yasuhiko and a high-level Blademaster class character for an online MMORPG called The World In AI Buster, it is shown that Orca helped Balmung defeat the "unbeatable" event of "The One Sin" in the game, earning him much prestige among his fellow players. This is where he earned the title of "Orca of the Azure Sea" from W.B. Yeats (aka Hokuto). Orca is also a descendant of Fianna.
In the beginning of .hack//INFECTION, Orca manages to get his real-world friend Kite to begin playing The World. During their run through the dungeon of Delta: Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field, he and Kite see a girl in white, later revealed as Aura, being chased by Skeith, the Terror of Death. Later, Aura gives Orca the Book of Twilight but Orca is soon data drained by Skeith and is put in a coma. Orca would stay in a coma for the rest of the Games until near the end of .hack//QUARANTINE, when he helps Kite get rid of Corbenik's Supreme Defense. He is later revived when Kite completes Aura.
In .hack//Unison, Orca is seen helping Kite get rid of the remaining Data Bugs around The World and later goes to Net Slum for the celebration.
A more corrupt version of Orca is present in the final episode of .hack//ROOTS, and later in .hack//G.U. Vol. 2, alongside a corrupt version of Balmung and Kite. Their origins and relations are, as of yet, unknown.
