[edit] Character History

[edit] Pre-Crisis

Orana is a red-haired Amazon who challenged Princess Diana for the title of Wonder Woman. Diana initially protests, but Queen Hippolyta informs her that Orana has every right to call for a new tournament as per the laws laid down by the Gods themselves.

She succeeded but was killed in her first mission, battling a terrorist called Warhead, after which Diana avenged her death. Orana is laid to rest on Paradise Island, and Diana reclaims the mantle of Wonder Woman.

[edit] Post-Crisis

Orana has not appeared in current continuity. However, Artemis is considered by many to be the Post-Crisis version of Orana. Like Orana, Artemis is a fiery red-head Amazon who won the second tournament to become Wonder Woman, and soon died in battle as Wonder Woman (although she was later revived).

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Like all Amazons, Orana is trained in high levels of hand-to-hand combat. She also has expertise in a wide array of weapons. Also like her fellow Amazons, she possessed the ability to glide on air currents.

While she was Wonder Woman, she used the Lasso of Truth.
