Optimist International

Optimist International is a service club. The first Optimist club was founded in 1911 in Buffalo, New York and the international organization was founded in 1919 in Louisville, Kentucky. Their slogan is Bringing out the best in kids. Optimist International has over 100,000 members in over 3,700 Optimist Clubs. Although membership has been rapidly declining in the United States, the organization is expanding internationally.
