Optare StarRider
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Optare StarRider was a bus body produced by Optare from 1986. It was based on a Mercedes-Benz chassis.
The styling was much less successful than its predecessor, the CityPacer. As a result, it was discontinued after just 3 years. It was replaced by the similar MetroRider which itself was based on a bus by MCW. Despite all this, London Transport took 123 StarRiders, which is more than the successful CityPacer.
