Talk:Operation Smile

[edit] Point of view and sources
As it stands, this article appears to be drawn in very large part from the organization's own publicity materials (chunks are in fact verbatim from its website; the section headed "Our achievements" is something of a tip-off). In addition, the article does not include any material on the questions that have occasionally been raised regarding the organization's work, especially in a series of articles in the New York Times in 1999-2000. This article is bullshit, it used to be a lot different, and apparently an Operation Smile supporter recently edited it. First of all they are not non-profit because they TAKE WAGES OUT OF THE MONEY DONATED. Yah sure they don’t make the patients pay, but somebody is still paying them. These people are scumbags, you can delete my commits but this article needs to be changed. Yah so humanitarian when you take money they people DONATED to pay your 200k plus salary. So altruistic. Yes I understand that people need money to survive but the amount of money that they use to pay their own greedy salaries is ridiculous, especially when they say "we are not for profit." Not for profit means you are not profiting from your "humanitarian" work, which they clearly are. Sure they are helping people, but its obviously a ploy to keep a steady and constant salary. (geordan)
