Talk:Open Transport Network
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
OTN=OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORK
I would expect here article about Optical Transport Networks as defined in ITU-T G.872

[edit] agreed
I concur.
The heading for this page should be Optical Transport Network, not Open Transport Network.
See: http://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-G.709/en
(and add that as a link on the page...)
[edit] disagree
OTN probably means a lot of things. See disambiguation page. ITU-standard OTN seems dead to me, but can be added under title 'optical transport network' if you fancy.

I suspect this page is talking about Siemens OTN (OPEN TRANSPORT NETWORK) product. This extends voice & data user services over a dual fibre ring. Think the author should have been a bit clearer! STM-1 is also better described as approx 155Mb/s. JNIB Engineer 09:45, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
