Operations Support System
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Operations Support System is a term originally used in the telecommunications world to describe the processes and teams that monitor the underlying networks. It predominantly looks at functional and non-functional requirements of solutions/systems. Monitoring, end-to-end design, and error handling tend to be the main areas of work.
OSS is now broadly applied in the IT industry.
