Operation Keyhole

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

During Operation Corporate in the 1982 Falklands War, Operation Keyhole was a British special operation on South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic.

Special Air Service (SAS) teams were landed covertly to observe Argentine activities. The harsh conditions on the island claimed several of these highly trained commandos. The commandos spotted the Argentine submarine ARA Santa Fe in port; it was quickly disabled by British airpower.
