Military history records three events called Operation Adler, the name meaning Eagle in German:

  1. A series of air attacks beginning on 13 August 1940 that began the Battle of Britain. A German victory was a prerequisite for the invasion of Britain (Seelöwe).
  2. Anti-partisan operation centered on the Chechivichi region of Belarus begun on 20 July 1942.
  3. Indecisive anti-partisan operation on the north Dalmatian coast, between Karlobag and Zadar, during November, 1943. German and Croatian units provided the Axis force.
