Openpolitics.ca

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The openpolitics.ca wiki is devoted to debates and news regarding politics in Canada. It was instrumental in sparking a debate on the theory of open politics and its relationship to the structure of a political party, electoral system, and duties of government. It grew from the Living Platform effort, as did the partisan Green Party of Canada Living Platform which practices a more conventional model of politics that is not entirely open nor transparent.

The function and role of openpolitics.ca is much like that of the US dkosopedia: providing a central reference for definitions and debates regarding "progressive" politics.

The most notable feature of openpolitics.ca is its steadfast support for anonymous input from party insiders and government officials, who are very strongly encouraged to reveal "dirt" on Canadian political parties.

It also has some useful technical features such as automatic searches if a specific article name is not recognized, so that HTTP 404 errors are never returned to the client.
