Open Clip Art Library
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Open Clip Art Library (acronym OCAL) project aims to create a collection of vector clip art that can be used for free for any use. The project was started in early 2004, and as of September 2005 it incorporates over 6500 images from over 500 artists, and offers the entire library as a free download. The images have all been dedicated to the public domain by their contributors. The images are in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format, with thumbnails in Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format.
The Open Clip Art Library was inspired primarily by the Sodipodi flags collection, as well as the Wikipedia and Creative Commons.[citation needed] The project has adopted Creative Commons' ccHost software for managing the clipart collection.
