OpenInsight is a repository-based applications development environment that enables development teams to work collaboratively to design, develop, deploy and scale high-performance business solutions. It is available from Revelation Software. It is available for both Windows and Linux.

OpenInsight has complete toolset that includes a Form Designer for creating and modifying data entry forms; an Editor and Debugger for writing and editing Basic+ programs; a User Interface Workspace for creating Popups, Messages, and HelpNotes; an XML Workspace for importing or creating XML documents; plus built-in support for Web interaction using its own CGI gateway.

OpenInsight is delivered with a flexible multivalued, variable-length, proprietary filing system. It also has the ability to use SQL Server, Oracle, Lotus Notes, UniVerse/UniData, or any ODBC compliant database as its data back-end.
