"Only in My Dreams" is the first single by American singer Debbie Gibson. Released in 1986, the song was written by the 16-year-old Gibson herself. Produced by Fred Zarr, the dance-pop song reached number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the summer of 1987. While it did not initially make the UK top fifty, it later re-entered in 1988 on the back of the success of her second single, and narrowly missed the top ten by one place (these later editions of this single were issued with a different picture sleeve). A different mix was featured on Gibson's debut album Out Of The Blue.
