Once In A Lifetime (Eurovision song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Once In A Lifetime was the Estonian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000, performed in English by Ines.
The song was performed fourth on the night (following the United Kingdom's Nicki French with Don't Play That Song Again and preceding France's Sofia Mestari with On Aura Le Ciel). At the close of voting, it had received 98 points, placing 4th in a field of 24.
The song is an up-tempo number, with Ines singing about her need to take life by the horns as she is only seventeen once (she was in fact 19 at the time).
It was succeeded as Estonian representative at the 2001 Contest by Tanel Padar (Ines' then-boyfriend and one of two backing singers in this performance) and Dave Benton with Everybody.
