Can someone blend this with mangonel? These are the same thing! tofor

An onager did not fire at the same angle as a mangonel, a mangonel fired at an angle so the projectiles could clear walls, whereas an onager fired straight forward.

Still, they're similar (at least similar enough that Age of Empires II makes the onager available as an upgrade to the mangonel). I agree with the merge. --Gray Porpoise^{Phocoenidae, not Delphinidae} 20:54, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

How about someone mention when onagers were invented? Seems to be a pretty basic piece of information.
