This template was considered for deletion on 2006 November 12. The result of the discussion was delete.

I think this is an unnecessary template. It will never be on more than two articles. The "current" template is perfectly good. Richard Taylor 03:46, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, it could probably be on more than _two_, but it's not very useful and doesn't convey much that {{current_event}} doesn't already say.
