"On a Night like This" was written for the Swedish artist Pandora, by the British Metro Production and became a big hit in clubs in Europe.

It is included on the Pandora album No Regrets, released in 1999.

This Japan-only album contains a set of great dance tunes. "On a Night like This" with Pandora was the second most played song of the year on the party island Ibiza.^{[citation needed]}Kylie Minogue did a cover of "On a Night like This". It is the second single from her Light Years album. It reached number 2 in the UK and number 1 in Australia. The song's release coincided with Minogue's performance at the Sydney Olympic Games where she sang this song. "On a Night like This" holds the record in Australia for having the biggest jump back to number one. Kylie performed the song in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games' opening ceremony, watched by a worldwide audience.

The song was also performed by Anna Vissi at the Miss Universe 2000 pageant held in Nicosia, Cyprus.
