Chelsea falls in love with a cute vegetarian boy Jake (Ricky Ullman) but Raven has a vision of Jake eating ribs at the Chill Grill. When Eddie and Raven tell Chelsea, she accuses them of not being good friends. Meanwhile, Cory gets a singer for his band. Cory thinks she's cute but she sings bad, really bad.
Chelsea climbs up Old Oakey and refuses to come down until they stop trying to cut it down, singing a parody of "On Top of old Smokey". She tells Raven that she and Jake have a plan so that he can get up the tree- that he'll act sick so the nurse would send him home, and therefore be able to climb up the tree with her.
Chelsea decides to move away from Raven's locker, and Cory doesn't realize that the singer is bad. Only when the rest of his band tape records her singing does he realize how bad she is. During the concert, Cory's mom sings behind stage while the singer lip-syncs.
Raven finds Jake eating ribs at the Chill Grill, and tells Chealsea that she saw him with her own eyes (to which Chelsea replies, "yeah, I figured that out when the nurse went home").
