Omphaloskepsis

Omphaloskepsis is the contemplation of one's navel as an aid to meditation. It is well known in the usually jocular phrase directed towards New Age pursuits: "contemplating one's navel" or "navel-gazers". From the Greek: omphalos (navel) + skepsis.
