Omnibus (broadcast)

In broadcasting an Omnibus (sometimes called an Omnibus edition) is a compilation of daily episodes that is usually broadcast during the following weekend. Such programmes that were/are transmitted in a Omnibus format include:
- Emmerdale,
- Coronation Street,
- Eastenders,
- Doctor Who (in the 1970's & 80s)
Omnibus is also the name of a software package used for television station control and automation.
