Omega (Freedom City)

Omega, Lord of the Terminus is a character from the Freedom City campaign setting of the Mutants and Masterminds role-playing game. He is loosely analogous to comic book supervillains such as DC's Darkseid, or Marvel's Thanos; a cosmic-scale threat, the ultimate "big bad" faced by the heroes.

Omega is the ruler of the shattered worlds of the Terminus, the name given to the chaotic realm between universes. It is believed by some to be the ultimate expression of entropy, while others simply call it the cosmic garbage dump; the remnants of dying universes end up there, along with various beings exiled from their own realities.

Striding over all this ruin and destruction like a god is Omega. In addition to his own vast powers, he also commands an ever-growing army of Omegadrones; once these were living beings, but now they are only lobotomized killing machines. Every new planet he conquers provides him with more resources, more slaves, and more Omegadrones. Omega seeks to expand the Terminus into every universe, so that all that exists will crumble into chaos and oblivion, while he watches, laughing.

The M&M first edition campaign Time of Crisis followed Omega's attempt to destroy all existence once and for all. It was inspired by DC Comics' epic parallel world stories of the 1960s-1980s including the Crisis On Infinite Earths.
