Egyptian musician, video director and blogger.

As a musician based in Egypt, Omar Kamel collaborated with Greek born Yanni Giovanos to produce Egypt's first electronic music album titled Shabaka in 2001. The album was the first of it's kind in Egypt, mixing electronic music, dance tracks, and live tracks with snippets from the local media from others such as Anwar Sadat and Umm Kulthum.

After Shabaka, Omar Kamel went on to produce two other albums mixing electronic dance influences with traditional oriental live instrumentation.

Omar Kamel also maintains a blog called SeptiC.
