Omar Abidi

Omar Abidi is the drummer for post-hardcore band Fightstar. Omar is a British national and is of Arabic and Portuguese origin. He has lived in London all his life, having gone to school in Pimlico.

They formed in 2003 when Charlie Simpson was in the band Busted. In early 2005, Charlie broke away from Busted to focus on his career with Fightstar, an edgier rock band. Fightstar has released an EP, a single called Palahnuiks Laughter, which is also known as Out Swimming in the Flood. They changed the title because of the tsunami in Indonesia. Their song Paint Your Target charted number 9 in June.
