Olovo LLC

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OLOVO LLC was formed in California in February 1998 as a limited liability partnership between Roland Clarke, Brian Kirsch, Matija Siljak, and Mark Snodgrass in order to market low alpha lead from old sources to the semiconductor industry. The technology for purifying samples of old (>200 year) lead to semiconductor grade purity was developed by Roland Clarke while he was a physics graduate student at Stanford University.

Later, this partnership began doing general IT consulting and contract work in order to gain supplemental income. In 2001, a fifth member, Chang Kim, joined the team. After 2001, several DBA's were created in order to separately brand the IT consulting and network security business from the low alpha lead materials business. These DBA's were OLOTEK, and OLOSEC. The 'OLO' portion of the OLOVO name was used to preserve the original identity of the partnership. From early 2001 to 2004, important technology was developed for performing information security assessments of corporate networks. During this time, a close partnership with another entity Mindsource was forged. Mindsource served as an important sales vehicle, and many contracts and works were performed by the members of OLOVO LLC under the name of Mindsource.
